Nonna’s Kitchen Morningside Road

A couple of months ago we won a voucher for Nonna’s Kitchen in a raffle and today we finally got round to using it. I love Italian food and had heard good things about Nonna’s so was very excited.

We arrived at about 1pm and the place was packed. Lots of hussle and bussle but the staff were so welcoming and positioned us at a table where we could put the pram beside us.  Jess was sound asleep so a high chair couldn’t be used. Drinks were brought over quickly and our lovely waiter recited the huge amount of specials on offer. We both went for one of the specials to start. I had the breaded mozzarella and Paul had the smoked haddock fish cakes. Both were yummy and the mozzarella was a huge portion.  Jess who had woken by this point was very happy with peppers and cherry tomatoes.

For the main I had mushroom risotto and Paul had the veal.

Jessica enjoyed the risotto as well and she now smells of garlic.

We were too stuffed to have a pudding but they looked great too.

The staff were so friendly and one even bumped her head on the wall because she was so busy playing peekaboo with Jess. We will definitely be going back to Nonna’s Kitchen!
