I know this is normally a purely food blog but there will be a mention of cake so please allow me this review of the rather excellent Muddy Boots in Fife.
The group of mums and dads that I know were quite excited to go and try out Muddy Boots in Fife. Now that most of the wee ones are toddling around on their own it seemed like a good time to go and see what all the fuss was about.
Muddy Boots is a great place to take children. It has soft play (a staple of most places to take children), jumping pillows, a quad train, grass sledging, duck racing, lots of wendy houses, slides , tunnels and much more. The jumping pillows were a favourite , both of the adults and the children. It was really good value for money £7.65 for two adults and a child under 2. We were there for the whole day.
The cafe serves home cooked food and wonderful cakes. There were plenty of high chairs and a good selection of food for the wee ones.
I had a steak panini and then this beautiful strawberry tart to follow.
The pastry was crisp, no soggy bottoms, and the strawberry’s, which are grown on site, were lovely and fresh. There was an amazing selection of cakes from scones to aero slices and from Victoria sponge to coffee cake, something to satisfy everyone.
I’d definitely recommend going to Muddy Boots , here’s the link for more info http://www.muddybootsfife.com/cafe/
