Edinburgh Foodies Festival – Win Win Win

I love the Foodies Festival, I really can’t express how much I love it. A day out wandering around food stalls, tasting, eating and spending time with good friends, what’s not to love.

I’ve gone to the Foodies Festival the past two years at Inverleith Park but the festival started eight years ago in Edinburgh.

I can honestly say it’s whole day out. As well as the various stalls, there is cooking in the Chef’s Theatre. Two years ago we saw Tim Vine cooking in the Chef’s Theatre, he should perhaps just stick to the jokes.

Foodies are also bringing lots of new things this year including a Chocolate, Cake, Bake and Preserves Theatre, and a Children’s Cookery Theatre.

There will be a Feasting Tent a Vintage Tea Tent that will hold daily tea dances (this sounds awesome), alongside a Vintage Kitchen Market.

The new Real Ale and Cider Farm offers an area for visitors to chill out on hay bales and strike up a conversation with our beer and cider expert Melissa Cole and fellow beer lovers. There’s a guitar behind the bar for those in the mood to get a sing-along started.

A new Chilli Food Market will excite those with a love for spicy foods with a range of chilli growers and artisan producers of sauces, sweets and jams. For those who can handle the heat a Chilli Eating Challenge takes place at 5pm daily.

Wow , you can see that there’s simply tonnes to do!
