Yesterday I had my first girls afternoon since little Emily was born. I love wee Emily lots but, I’m not going to lie, I was very much looking forward to some me time.
Given that the wee monkey is not too keen on a bottle I didn’t stray to far from home, and headed to Dine at 29 in Dunfermline to try their afternoon tea.
The Afternoon Tea at Dine at 29 is £30 for two people and includes scones, sandwiches, chocolate covered strawberries, cheesecake of the day, cupcakes and some sticky toffee pudding. It also includes tea and coffee and a glass of prosecco (or a mocktail). There’s the option to upgrade to a bottle of prosecco for an extra £10. I dont have Emily’s bottle issues and went for the upgrade.
The scones were light and fluffy, especially smothered in loads of cream and jam. I loved the cheesecake, which was lime and coconut and tasted like key lime pie. The sticky toffee pudding could have done with a wee drizzle of sauce but everything else was fab.
It worked out at £20 per person which is a cracking deal and was a perfect girlie afternoon.
